These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to the use of the website and to the renovation and related services offered by BMT (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.

2. General service description
We are a home renovation company in the Netherlands. We offer services such as renovation, interior custom work, and garden projects. The exact scope of work is described in the quotation and any written agreement we make with you. These Terms apply unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
3. Information on the website (no public offer)
The information on this website (including descriptions of services, examples, and any indicative prices) is for general information and familiarisation only. It does not constitute a public offer or a binding offer. All terms, scope of work, and prices are discussed and agreed with you personally and are set out in the individual quotation and contract. Only the signed agreement (or equivalent written confirmation) between you and us forms the basis of our services.
4. Quotes and agreements
Quotations we send are valid for the period stated on the quote (or, if not stated, for a reasonable period, e.g. 30 days). A contract is formed when you accept the quotation in the way we specify (e.g. in writing or by email) and we confirm. Changes to the agreed scope or price must be agreed in writing. We will inform you in advance of any extra work and the associated costs where possible.
5. Liability limitation
We carry out our work with due care. Our liability is limited to the amount covered by our insurance and in any case to the contract value of the work in question, except where the law does not allow limitation (e.g. in case of intent or gross negligence). We are not liable for indirect damage, loss of profit, or consequential loss, unless required by mandatory law. We are not liable for damage caused by circumstances beyond our control (e.g. force majeure) or by materials or designs supplied by you or third parties.
6. Project timelines
We will use reasonable efforts to complete the work within the agreed timeframe. Indicated dates are estimates unless we have explicitly agreed a fixed date. Delays due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g. weather, delayed materials, or changes requested by you) may extend the project. We will keep you informed of any significant delay.
7. Payment terms
Payment terms will be set out in the quotation or agreement. Unless agreed otherwise, we may request an advance or interim payments for larger projects. Invoices are typically due within 14 or 30 days (as stated on the invoice). We are entitled to suspend work if payments are not made on time. Late payment may result in statutory interest and reasonable collection costs.
8. Warranty and complaints
We stand behind the quality of our work. If you are not satisfied, you must notify us in writing (e.g. by email) within a reasonable time, and in any case within the warranty period we have stated (or, if not stated, within a period that is reasonable for the type of work). We will then investigate and, where justified, repair or correct the work at no extra cost. Complaints do not suspend your obligation to pay undisputed invoices. If we cannot resolve a complaint, the dispute resolution clause below may apply.
9. Governing law
These Terms and any agreement between you and us are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
10. Dispute resolution
We aim to resolve any dispute in a friendly way. If we cannot, disputes may be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands. If you are a consumer, you may also be entitled to use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform.
11. Website use
Use of our website is subject to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. You may not use the site for unlawful purposes or in a way that could harm the site or others.
12. Changes
We may change these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised. Continued use of the website or our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For existing contracts, the Terms that applied at the time of the agreement remain in force unless we agree otherwise.
